Back to school
After seeing the scholastic success of my two amazing daughters, I decided to go back to school. In my emotional fueled zeal, I signed up for a full load. My wife cautioned me that I was taking on too much for being out of school for so long, however, I was convinced I could handle a mere four classes.
Reality hit me square in the face the first week of school. The work load was overwhelming, and I quickly dropped two classes. A few days later I dropped another. The one lone class I kept is really hard, at least for this old man. I should qualify my comment that it is hard. It is hard, but I love it. If I should ever be lucky enough to hit the lottery, I will go to school full time.

Writing groups
Writing groups can be fun, funny or just plain annoying. Hopefully, they can be helpful. I had to audition for one group by sending in something I wrote. Several voted yes, though the majority voted against me with some quite disparaging remarks. I was tempted to respond with " How many books have you sold? " However, I decided to take the high ground and thanked them for their consideration. Granted I can't quit my day job, but I manage to sell some books every month.
Speaking of my day job, I start my new position within Time Warner Cable on Friday. Hopefully, this one won't suck away my creativity like the last two did.
Well, I have decided that I need to blog on a more consistent basis even if no one reads them. After all, writing is writing, right?
